Swimming Lessons

We decided to put both kids into swimming lessons this year and so for the past two weeks we have been at the pool every morning.  Today was the last day of classes and they both passed their Level 1 (hooray!).  Thanks McKenna!
They'd both been in swimming lessons two years ago, but they didn't pass.  We did Swim Club last year for both of them and skipped lessons.  This year, Emma did Swim Club, but didn't progress very well.  We need to go swimming more often, but when our pool is only open for about three months out of the year it makes it interesting to be consistent and help them advance.  We're talking that we'll drive in to Lethbridge for lessons again in a few months so that they can keep progressing.

Candy Parade

We had so much fun at the Coaldale Candy parade!  We had our family, Shauna's, Melissa's, Mindy's, and Rachel's all sitting together.  Roger was a few blocks away (we're going to have to coordinate better next year!)  The kids had a blast playing with their cousins.
Candy bags make great hats!

Some of the gang waiting for the parade to start.  Good thing we had some nice shade!

The four musketeers.  Emma, Lauren, Mason and Gideon

...and with their moms!  Probably the last year we'll be able to pick them up like this!

The other three born in the same year.  Sarah, Zach and Bryan

The kids gathering up the CRAZY amounts of candy!

The kids and their loot!  Look at all that candy!
When we got home, I weighed the kids candy bags and they had 7 1/2 pounds of candy!  Yikes!

Hangar Time

We spent the evening at the hangar again.  Lennard has got the baggage compartment wall built and temporarily put in place.
And we finished riveting the skin on.
The kids used their imaginations on how to keep busy... Sure do love these two!

Happy Canada Day!

We made our annual pilgrimage to the Raymond parade this morning and sat with Roger & Trisha (and all her extended family).  The kids had fun playing with their cousins.  Unfortunately, there wasn't enough room for Shauna's and Mindy's families, so they were across the road from us.

As soon as the parade was done, we headed out and got ahead of the crowds heading out of Raymond.  We ended up at the airport and worked on the plane for most of the afternoon.
Lennard is pretty excited to see progress being made!  We riveted another skin on and it's really starting to look like something!
