We had a super lazy morning today! We eventually got dressed and had breakfast and then decided to go up and try out the mini golf that the campground has. It was a little pricey, but we had so much fun! Ben has been asking to go golfing for a while now, so this was perfect for him!
Emma tended to just whack at the ball and let it go flying. It was a good thing we weren't keeping score!
The best part of the game was when Ben got a hole in one! We were so shocked that we all cheered. It was awesome! I wish I'd got it on video! Just look at the hole he got it on too... around the corner and everything! He was pretty proud of himself and even got to add his name to the list of people who had got hole-in-ones on the course.
After golfing, we decided to go check out the Platz in downtown Kimberley. Surprisingly, it was dead! Half the shops were closed and there were hardly any people around. It felt like a ghost town!
We were all hungry by then and decided to stop to get something to eat. There wasn't a huge selection, so we ended up deciding on a pizza place. Emma wasn't happy about it, but I ended up getting chicken parmigiana to share with her. Lennard and Ben shared the special of the day pizza and boy was it ever good! Wow! They had a hot chili pepper oil to drizzle on it and it just took it up a notch. So good. I would go back just for the pizza! My dish was good too. All fresh ingredients, etc., but it just couldn't compare with the pizza.
The kids loved the world's largest cuckoo clock. We put a loonie in and Happy Hans came out to sing for us!
Of course, we had to stop by the candy store to get ice cream for dessert!
Ben loved getting to play 'Chest' (ha! ha!) I'm not a very good chess player, but Ben and I managed to hold our own against Lennard and Emma.
We wanted to check out the cheese shop too and ended up getting caught in a rain shower! When we got to the store, we discovered it was closed! We got completely soaked running back to the truck!
Back at the trailer, the kids went off to play with Payton and bike around the campground. I ended up falling asleep for a couple hours! Guess I was tired. We had a pretty simple dinner and then watched a movie before bed.
