Book Club

Usually every December our Book Club goes out to dinner in Lethbridge together.  This year, Karen asked if she could host us at her home for a fondu party!  We had no issues saying yes!  She went over and above anything we could have expected.  It was absolutely delicious!  There was salad, baked potatoes, chicken, beef, shrimp, cheese balls, sauces, etc.  YUM!

Just as good as the food, was the company.  I love book club and look forward to going every month. It's been about 6-7 years since we've been meeting almost every month together and I have made such good friends with each of these ladies.  Some have come and gone over the years, but I love the different perspectives each of us bring to the table.

After we ate until we almost couldn't move, we helped Karen clean up and then sat and visited together.  Unfortunately, while we were cleaning up, Gail took one step too many and ended up falling down the steep basement stairs!  So scary!  She was pretty banged up and in shock, but thankfully nothing was broken.  It was not the kind of entertainment we were expecting (or wanting!).

While we visited, Karen passed around more food!  Oranges, chocolates, nuts, ice cream log and a yummy punch!  It's a good thing we don't do this every month!  It was the perfect evening.
