We went to Calgary this morning for another appointment with Dr. White to check on Lennard's wrist. Thankfully, my parents stayed over last night so that they could watch the kids for us so that we could be on the road just before 7:00. We were a little worried about the road conditions as it had snowed lots yesterday, but once we got past Claresholm the roads were good. We made good time and were able to get in for his CT scan a bit early. As usual, we ended up waiting for Dr. White though. In his own words - "I'm always running behind!".
He looked at the CT scan and after reviewing all the different views, he said that it looks like Lennard's wrist is starting to bridge on the one side and that he can see some calcification. Dr. White says that it's about 25% healed. So... another cast went on! He has to go back in 5 weeks to see where it's at and then they'll decide where to go from there.
It's been 5 months since his accident! So crazy to have had a splint/cast for that amount of time. At least it's beginning to heal this time. Here's hoping it continues!!
After we got done at the hospital, we popped over to the passport office to get our passports renewed. We were a little worried when we got there because the waiting room was full of people. Amazingly we were in and out of the office in about ten minutes! We'd barely sat down when they called us up. Hooray! We should have them back before the middle of March. We're hoping/planning on attending our 20 year mission reunion. (Yikes!) Not sure how it's been that long already. Makes me feel 'old'! lol
