Sanity Saver

After having our cat, Buddy, destroy our tree over and over and over again... I finally had had enough.  I undecorated the tree and we moved it downstairs to our family room.  We still had a baby gate in storage, so we put it across the doorway and then tie-strapped cardboard onto it so that the cat can't get in.  It's been wonderful!  We set everything up, and even pulled out the rest of our decorations.  The tree looks so wonderful and my sanity is saved.

 The rest of the house doesn't look like it's Christmas time, but I don't trust Buddy to not destroy my nice nativities!  We put the magnetic one on the fridge, and the kids have enjoyed playing with it.
