We pulled out our Christmas tree tonight! The kids were SO excited! As we worked on getting the tree set up, the kids had fun playing with nativities (in their Santa hats). Every ornament was ‘lovingly’ placed on the tree. They loved every single moment of decorating!
After dinner, we went down to the 1st Annual Festival of Lights down at the Remington. The first part was all outside and the kids got a bit cold, but it was fun to see all the lights come on, especially knowing that Lennard spent a lot of time putting a lot of them up. As we were walking in to the Museum they set off fireworks too! It was so fun!
There were SO many people in the museum that it was hard to move. Thankfully we were right by Santa’s sleigh when it was announced that if the kids lined up they could get pictures taken with Santa! We ended up being about 3rd or 4th in line so we didn’t have to wait hardly at all. The kids loved getting to see Santa!
Since there were so many people, the museum opened the gallery and we were able to wander around the museum and check out all the carriages. The kids had a blast running around. It was a lot of fun and hopefully they will keep doing this every year!
