Lennard went to work this morning, but then came home at about 9:00 and said that he was taking the day off! We pulled out the instructions and were a little taken aback when it said that it would take 10-12 hours for two people to assemble the playhouse… with an additional 2 hours for the slide! We figured we could beat that time, so we got opening boxes and quickly discovered that… yup… it will definitely take that long… and longer to complete everything! Thankfully everything was labelled really well and we had all the tools that we needed (Sorry Lennard – no new tools for this project!).
By the end of the day, this is what we had got done. The kids were already thrilled to have a door that opened and closed! They even have a little chalkboard sign to draw on. We’re definitely going to be stiff and sore tomorrow!
