A Busy Day... and a Dance Recital

We've had a busy day today!  We started out cleaning the church.  We were lucky enough to get the kitchen as our assignment so the kids were able to help wipe down cupboards, etc.

We got done there and had just enough time to get the kids dressed in their soccer gear!  Lennard gets to coach their team this year and the kids are thrilled.

When we got home from soccer, we got the rest of the garden soil spread and everything mixed in to it.  We got an edger put in around the garden too.  It's looking good!

Then, this evening, we got to attend Emma's dance recital!  I hadn't got any pictures of her in her genie costume, so I snapped a few on the back deck a minutes before we had to head to Mountain View!

We were there plenty early, so Ben was not very happy to just sit... it was too boring!  The gym filled up super fast, so I was glad we'd managed to get our second row seats!  We were so excited to see Lybbert's (former Primary teacher) and Woodruff's (Primary teachers) come to support Emma.  Her school teacher, Mrs. Bennett, also came to watch her!

The recital went really well... a few hiccups, but not too bad.  After Emma's numbers were done and just before her bows, she ended up racing over to us with a bloody nose!  Lennard took her out and cleaned her up.  It was only minutes before she was supposed to be on stage, so I went out as well to hurry them up.  Lennard ended up packing her nose and we sent her out to do her bows and get her medal!  Crazy times.

Emma has really loved Miss Stephanie as her dance teacher this year.  Stephanie has been incredibly patient with these kids.  It has been such a positive experience!
