A Hair Cut and a Night Out

Melissa called to see if we wanted to come visit this afternoon.  Everyone had left her at home with the baby while they went to Waterton again, so we headed over after lunch.  Emma and Ben played with toys while I got to talk with Melissa and play with Maren.  Melissa mentioned that she was going to get her hair cut and I wondered who she was having do it.  I didn't know that her niece, Cassidy, cuts hair.  Cassidy happened to come in later on and Melissa asked her if she would be willing to do two more hair cuts and she said yes!  Then she said that she could do them right then!

Melissa and Cassidy both tried to convince Emma to cut off 12" off her hair so that she could donate it to Locks of Love, but she didn't want to do that.  We did end up cutting off about 5-6" though!  After it was cut, Emma kept asking me how long it would take to grow back and that it was too short!  It looks so much healthier now and she'll be ready to go back to school!  Thanks, Cass!

Then, tonight, I got to take Emma to see 'Beauty and the Beast' at the live theatre downtown.  Emma was given a coupon for a free kid's ticket when she completed her drama camp, so I only had to pay for my ticket.  (The boys were happy to stay home.)  Her drama camp teachers played Lumiere (the candlestick) and Babette (the feather duster).  Tate and Dalys did such a great job and Emma LOVED getting to see them on stage.  It was quite hilarious when they kissed though.  In Emma's words, "It was out of line!"  lol  It was such a late night for her and she was extremely tired by the end of it, but it was a fun night out together.
