After fueling up, we got on the road at about 8:30am. We stopped at lunch time in Belle Fourche, SD and went through their Tourism Center and free museum. I love the pictures that I got of Lennard and the kids!
The kids loved the museum and explored for a half hour or so... and then we drove again!
The kids loved their tablets... and so did we. Headphones are a wonderful invention. I also loved that I could set up how long they had to read first before accessing any games (and it would shut off after a set amount of time!).
We got in to our campground in Belvidere, SD at about 3:30pm. We could have driven longer, but it's our vacation too... The kids were SO excited to see there was a playground and a swimming pool. They went to the playground first thing while we got the trailer set up. Lennard only got a short break when the kids threw on their swimming suits and wanted to head to the pool. He took them while I got dinner ready.
He didn't end up getting in, but the kids had a blast!
The evening was pretty relaxed with movies and games. Unfortunately, we didn't get a full night sleep. Lennard woke up at about 3:00am hearing the toilet and water running. When he went to investigate there was water draining/leaking from the trailer, but he couldn't figure out where it was coming from. After a bit of in and out of the trailer, Emma woke up from the noise. It took me a while to get her back to bed and I ended up 'sleeping' on the couch for the rest of the night.
