Our Trailer Saga

Yes... we've done it again.  We bought a new trailer.  Just so everyone gets their facts straight when you are talking about how crazy we are... yes, this is our fourth trailer in a very short amount of time.

We had our tent trailer before the kids were born.  We took Emma camping in it once at the Webster family campout (2010) and then we took both kids at the Murray family campout at the airport (2011), but we didn't use it much after the kids came along.
We sold it after the crazy hail storm in July 2012 and bought an older fifth wheel trailer, which was great... until we realized that because it was an older style, the steps inside were ridiculously steep for kids to maneuver!  After they had both fallen on the steps, we were ready for a change.

We managed to sell it for more than we had paid for it and invested in a bumper pull. (May 2013)
This trailer was quite the 'upgrade' for us.  It had a slide which meant we had way more room!  We had lots of fun with this trailer and spent quite a few weekends in it at the airport or in Kalispell.  We loved the space and having everything on one level, but it was also 31 feet long and a bit tricky to get in to some campsites. We didn't like the access into the master bedroom (so tight).  We made quite a few improvements and I really thought we'd have this trailer for a while.  We made a mental list of the pros and cons and jokingly talked about what we would like to see in our 'next' trailer.  I wasn't really thinking that anything would come of it for a while, but Lennard started 'looking' at what was out there for trailers.  Then I got a text asking if we could go in to Lethbridge that night to 'look' at a trailer.  Again, I figured, fine, we could go look.  No harm in looking... right?!

Well, that did it.  We found a trailer that we both fell in love with.  The price was more than we had though, so I thought that would be the end of it... but no!  We kept talking about it and dreaming about it and I kept trying to figure out how we could pull it off.  Amazingly, that week we sold our bumper pull and had a few more things fall in to place!  Lennard called and put an offer in on the trailer and the rest is history...
We brought home our 'Monster' trailer today!  It is amazing and we love it.  We are looking forward to many, many, many years of wonderful family trips in it.  The kids have lots more space, we have more privacy and there are a lot of nice features that we will enjoy.

This is the floor plan of our new trailer.  Can't wait to get out and use it... guess we can only hope that winter will cooperate with us!

    1. Thanks, Angelyn. I'm always amazed at how things always end up working out... and never how I thought they would work out to begin with either! Can't wait to actually get to use it now!
