Magic Kingdom 1

The kids were up early looking for gifts again.  It was quite hilarious listening to them searching.  They were sure to close our door before they turned on the lights, but we still could hear them squeal when they found them!  I love seeing/hearing their excitement!

We got to the parking lot early and took the ferry over to the Magic Kingdom.  The kids were really intrigued with being on a boat.
Once we got through security we didn't have to wait too much longer before we got to enjoy the welcome show.  It was fun getting to count down to the park opening!  It was a little wild walking into the park with so many people!

Even with people everywhere, we decided to stop and get a family picture in front of the castle!  Unfortunately, they were painting that day, so we have a lovely crane in the background.

We stopped again to get more pictures and were happy to get this one!  Even better, we were finally able to be in t-shirts for the first time on our vacation!  Hooray!

We weren't able to get a fast pass for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride, so we knew that that was our priority for our first ride of the day.  Even with getting there ten minutes after the park opened, there was already an hour wait!  We knew it would only get worse as the day went on, so we decided to wait!  They had some fun interactive things to do while we stood in line.  Ben loved the touch screen gem sorting and Emma liked making music and getting water to squirt out when you put your hand under the nozzles.
The ride was well worth the wait.  It was so much fun!  I loved getting the ride pictures and video.  I had to laugh at this picture as Lennard just about lost his hat on this drop!
We walked over to the Winnie the Pooh ride after and had to wait for a bit.  Thankfully, they had a large play area with things for the kids to do while we waited!
After this, we stood in line for quite a while to go on 'It's a Small World' - which the kids absolutely loved!

Then we went on Peter Pan's Flight.  It's a good thing we had a fast pass for that one because I can't imagine waiting in line for an hour for it!  It wasn't anything wild.

We had a fast pass for the Haunted Mansion and the kids did pretty good.  Ben didn't like it very much, but he thought the hitchhiking ghost was pretty funny.

We then stopped at Pinocchio's Village Haus and had some lunch.

We hit Goofy's Barnstormers and then drove around on Tomorrowland's Speedway.  The kids loved getting to 'drive' their cars!

One of funny things that happened today was when Ben was looking at the map.  He was following the dotted line that showed the parade route when he looked up at me and said, "Mom!  We should have turned left at Albuquerque!"  (I think he's watched way too much Bugs Bunny!)  I cracked up... especially when he even said it the same way Bugs Bunny does!

The parade was going to start within the next half hour or so, so we went to find a place to watch it.  It's a little crazy how many people crammed in on the street where we were.  I'm glad we weren't there on peak season!
The beginning of the parade with Belle and the Beast
Cinderella and Prince Charming
Anna and Elsa

Ariel
Donald Duck
Mickey and Minnie Mouse
Once the parade was done, we had enough time to ride the carousel before we could use our fast pass for Enchanted Tales with Belle.  Emma was SO excited to get to meet Belle.  It was such a neat experience.  At first we went into a room that was Maurice's workshop.  There was a mirror there that they said was given to Maurice by the Beast.  It was enchanted and all of a sudden the mirror started to grow and made a doorway!  So cool.
We went in to the next room where the wardrobe talked and interacted with the kids.  The kids were then given parts to act out.  Emma got chosen to act out the part of Philippe, the horse.  Ben was chosen to be Chip, the teacup.   Then, all the kids went first into the library and the parents followed and found seats.  Emma did such a cute little neigh!
Ben hopped up when it was his turn.  I was so happy that he willingly participated!  He's been so hit and miss that I was glad he got the opportunity.

After they acted out the story of how Belle met the Beast, each kid got an individual picture with Belle and she gave them each a bookmark.

We decided to have a bit of an earlier night than we've had since we got to Florida, so we headed back at about 5:00pm.  We got a few more pictures taken on the way out!
Nothing like getting a picture at the front entrance at the end of the day!  There were so many people this morning that there wouldn't have been any way to get a picture, so this was perfect.

It was such a great day.  We took the ferry back and were able to have dinner at the resort and get the kids to bed early tonight.
