The overwhelming theme of the day was COLD! We sort of laughed when we pulled in to the parking lot and saw everyone bundled up in toques and gloves, but we quickly discovered how much we wished that we had gloves and hats too! Thankfully, we had left the kids winter coats in the car, so we bundled them up as best as we could and headed in to the park.
We were there just as the park opened, so Lennard was able to walk right on to the first ride of the day on the Manta roller coaster. He loved it! When he got off, he was buzzing! While he was riding the coaster, I took the kids in to the aquarium. They loved the viewing tube!
We attempted to get in as many of the shows as we could. The kids loved watching the dolphins do all kinds of tricks.
We enjoyed all of the shows. It was just a little cold sitting on the metal bleachers.
I think Ben's favorite thing at Sea World was getting to see the penguins. He could have stayed there for hours.
There was a big play area by the Shamu Stadium that the kids absolutely loved. We went on the carousel, played on the big boat for a while and tried out the Ocean Commotion ride before the Blue Horizons show.
I had to carry him part way until I couldn't carry him any longer. We got to the parking lot... and then our next adventure started. We had to try to find our unfamiliar rental car in a sea of vehicles! After wandering around the parking lot for about ten minutes, Lennard finally asked a parking attendant if he could point us in the right direction and within a few more minutes we found our car! Hooray!
We were all so tired from travelling all day yesterday and then walking all day today. We managed to stop at Target on the way home and getting some groceries for the week. We had dinner at our unit and had an early night. The nicest thing tonight was soaking in the jetted tub! Such a good way to end the day!
