It was such a beautiful morning when we got up. I would have loved to have stayed another day, just hanging out and relaxing. The campground is so beautiful.
We finally left at 10:30 and made a short 45 minute drive in to Tacoma to Camping World. After almost an hour we finally stopped browsing and got on our way again.
Not quite an hour and a half later we stopped in Marysville for lunch at the Golden Corral. I ate WAY too much, but I love their pot roast! So delicious. We fuelled up and then made it to the border in about another hour and a half. We waited for about half an hour at the border but then had the easiest entry ever. He asked very few questions and we were through in no time. I was wishing I'd loaded up on stuff!
We found our campsite without difficulty and discovered that the majority of the campground is permanent residents. There were four sites for us to choose from. We got a beautiful site in the trees overlooking a creek. Love all the big trees!
The rest of our evening was spent at Lennard's dad's home. The kids have only been here twice and they were so young that they don't remember it. It was interesting to show them that Grandpa actually has a home...and it's not jut our guest bedroom! Dad made us dinner (although I was still so full that I wasn't able to eat much). Emma loved the pork chops and some of Grandma Nichols’ homemade chutney!
We are looking forward to having a few days to relax and visit dad on 'his turf'.
